Trying to figure out the best 144hz monitor

Ever since I started playing PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds more often, I have contemplated getting a better monitor, one that primarily focuses on a higher refresh rate. My dilemma is two-fold, should I get a cheap one which just has a high refresh rate of 144Hz or should I look at something more long-term, which offers G-Sync, 144Hz, 1440p resolution and an IPS panel which gives better colour accuracy.

Colour accuracy was a key requirement for me last time as I used to do a lot of photo editing and a little bit of video editing but these days I just normally use my desktop PC mostly for gaming and writing. I rarely edit photos but I do a bit more video editing for my PUBG games (check out my channel here).

The price difference is quite high, the more long-term solution with better specs is priced almost 3 times. Just to make things clear, I am considering between the Acer ED273A monitor and the Acer Predator XB271HU. Both are featured at 27″ but the Acer ED273A is a curved monitor.

Comparing the two, I still can’t make up my mind about which monitor to get. Should I get the more expensive one such that it is a bit more future proof and that I can use it for at least 7-8 years or the cheaper model to satiate my gaming needs currently? The downside of getting the Acer Predator is that my rig may not necessarily be able to power it well enough to gain high FPS for PUBG.
