I was rather surprised by the appearance of a new coffee joint at BU4 in Bandar Utama. It took over a shop which used to be called PastryVille and before that, it was a shop that sold ribs. I believe that over the years, that shop has changed hands. This time around, RaRa Coffee appeared and it looks absolutely gorgeous.
I was really impressed by how the overall decorations turned out. Simple, minimalistic and very chic. The design is no surprise as many visitors were busy taking photos throughout the place. When I arrived, there was a queue there as well. Since I am the type that can’t really wait, I just ordered a coffee and a slice of cake to go instead.
As one enters the place, you can see how immensely busy everyone is. Yes, it is a Saturday, hence you see a larger crowd. I am a lot more tempted to return on a weekday instead and have lunch there.
You have both options of an espresso based coffee or if you fancy pour over coffees, they have it as well.
There weren’t that many options for cakes at the time but I did notice that they sell fresh beans and oat milk as well.
My interest has definitely been piqued and I would definitely want to return again to try out their food.
Conclusion
Overall the coffee wasn’t too bad, will give it a couple of tries in order to get a verdict. The cake was the type you would typically get from a supplier so it didn’t feel really fantastic. Still, this place is rather new so I shall hold back any verdicts for the moment.
