The name Red Bean Bag has become synonymous with coffee enthusiasts and food aficionados alike. With its inviting ambiance, delectable menu, and exceptional service, this charming cafe has captured the hearts of locals and tourists seeking a memorable dining experience. I remember going to the Red Bean Bag back at Publika. Red Bean Bag (RBB) was opened by an old friend of mine from school and I remember playing football with him a while back. What I remember was that RBB brought the whole Australian cafe culture here, whether or not they are the first is moot but I was glad with the quality of both the food and the coffee there.
Since then, the Red Bean Bag has moved away from Publika and actually moved closer to home. They are now located at Mutiara Damansara which means they got a lot more space and a constant stream of customers trying to get in. We got there early and didn’t have to wait long to get a table. Entering into the place is a large door which was solid and nice.
Upon entering the place, you are greeted by bright natural lights thanks to the surround glass panels and a high ceiling. You get a lot of airy space and the place offers you seating either on the ground floor or upstairs. Located upstairs is a play area for kids which was completely packed at the time.
I ordered the big breakfast as it was brunch time and it was good. I gobbled it all up and washed it all down with a nice cup of flat white.
My family ordered a combination of toast, pasta and salad. Quite a fair bit of variety and the typical food that one might find at the cafe. Overall the quality is very high and its a place where I would return again to try out more of their dishes.

With cafes popping up around left, right and centre, The Red Bean Bag still stands out as a true gem. This is proven with the long lines that wait to get in during the weekend. Its inviting ambiance, exceptional coffee, delectable menu, and impeccable service, it has become a favorite destination for coffee lovers and food enthusiasts. Whether you’re seeking a place to unwind, indulge in culinary delights, or simply enjoy a top-notch cup of coffee, The Red Bean Bag delivers on every front. I would return again. I definitely want to try out the other dishes and food. There were lots of desserts on display as well and I would like to try out some of the cakes and desserts. One of the things I didn’t get to try the other day.
